Juliette Jones, owner of Cork based Pilates Studio “Flex in the City” has been teaching Pilates for 8 years and has worked with everyone from elite athletes to anyone wanting to strengthen their body and improve their movement. Pilates will help you become stronger and more confident in your movement. Pilates can have a phenomenal transformation on your physique.
WHAT IS PILATES?
In 3 words, Pilates is strength, stretch and control. It is about finding that sweet spot between maximum effort but also maximum efficiency. It is about creating a body that moves and functions well. Pilates focuses on how you sit, how you stand, how you walk. Derval has used Pilates at various points in her life, as a professional athlete, as a pregnant mum to be and for general fitness and would be a huge advocate for its health benefits.
