This is an area that can really challenge you so let’s make sure we get a grip on snacking patterns and the best way to snack for optimal health.

Timing:

How often should you snack and when in the day should you snack? For me personally, I would snack twice a day when I don’t do much physical exercise and three times a day when I exercise.

Time your first snack between breakfast and lunch, the next between lunch and dinner. The final snack of the day can be timed after dinner at least 1 hour before bed, I tend to only eat a snack at this time of day if I’ve exercised.
